One thing to note about camping here is that only the park's own paddleboats are permitted in the lake - not any other boats. Swimming is also not permitted, but fishing from the shore is allowed with a valid North Carolina fishing license. Dogs are permitted at the campsites only, not the cabins or attractions, if they're on a hand-held leash. For campers, there's a small convenience store to check into at your arrival on your pre-reserved date and time. Golden Pond Campground With two ponds and a relaxed, peaceful vibe, the Golden Pond Campground on Keefer Place in Salisbury is a family favorite. The property features kid-friendly fishing, beautifully treed grounds, and a covered picnic shelter right on the water. If you're looking for a smaller, rustic retreat, this one may be for you. There are full camper hook-ups with satellite TV also available. A small laundry room is onsite and the campsites at Golden Pond are known for being well-maintained. Raven Point - Boy Scout Campground Raven Point in Salisbury is a little different from the other camping areas as it's owned by The Boy Scouts of America. Family camping and child-parent camping are often arranged. Since this is regulated by the Old Hickory Council, it's best to find out ahead about camping availability at Raven Point. Local scout troops often frequent this campground for pack adventures. Located at High Rock Lake, water sports such as kayaking, canoeing, and swimming are popular here. There's a boating and fishing dock and Raven Point also has a covered picnicking spot. A small bunkhouse cabin is also on the property. Carolina Rose Campground Situated on Jim Neely Drive, about four miles from downtown Salisbury, camping at Carolina Rose is a favorite weekend activity for many local families. This campground is mainly for camper-style vehicles with just a few tent and cabin options. The amenities include a playground, fenced outdoor pool, mini-golf, paddleboards, and fishing access. The last major redesign was in 2017, meaning that Ford has since been able to build on its award-winning design by ironing out minor flaws to create an extremely trustworthy vehicle.
