The 2026 Ford Ranger

Ford makes things simple with the midsized Ranger. It comes with one bed length in a SuperCrew crew cab bodystyle with room for 5. Ford also makes it easy to choose this pickup with its strong towing power, tech features, and safety equipment, with a variety of powertrain options.

Trim Levels (Exterior)

The entry-level XL has 17-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, and a manually locking tailgate. The XLT adds alloy wheels, LED taillights, fog lights, and upgraded exterior trim elements, and the option to dress up the exterior with the choice of a Sport or Black appearance package or chrome-like wheels. Stepping up to the Lariat gets you Intelligent Access, LED lighting in the bed, heated and power-folding side exterior mirrors, and upgraded exterior trim. XLT and Lariat also offer the new for 2026 option of a power moonroof.

Engine (Power)

The Ranger gets power from a 2.3L EcoBoost® gas engine with Auto Start-Stop Technology that puts out 270 horsepower. A ten-speed automatic transmission works with the engine to power either the front wheels or all four wheels. A 2.7L EcoBoost® V6 engine with 315 hp is available on XLT and Lariat. Raptor is powered by a 405 hp 3.0L EcoBoost® V6.

Performance

No matter which engine you choose, drivers will appreciate the Ranger's quick acceleration and easy handling. The suspension soaks up most road imperfections, while the responsive steering makes it fun to drive. When equipped, it can tow up to 7,500 pounds and handle up to 1,767 pounds in the bed. Raptor's 405 hp EcoBoost® V6 makes this fun truck even more of a blast to drive.

Interior

The Ranger can fit five passengers. Front seat passengers enjoy plenty of head and legroom, while the high seating position provides an excellent view of the road. Cloth upholstery comes standard in the XL and XLT, with ActiveX upholstery added to the Lariat. A leather-wrapped steering wheel is optional for the XLT, along with heated front seats. These features come standard in the Lariat.

Safety Features

The Ranger comes standard with a rearview camera, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Every trim also has a pedestrian detection system. Many of these features are part of the Ford CO-PILOT360® technology. This includes BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) w/Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Coverage, and a lane-keeping assist system.

Technology

In addition to the Ford CO-PILOT360® safety suite, technology in the Ranger includes an 8-inch instrument cluster display screen, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a USB port. A 10-inch touch-screen display is standard as well on XL with SYNC® 4A, which has voice controls, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ Compatibility, and USB A & C ports. The Lariat offers premium features like a 10-speaker B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen® and rain-sensing wipers.
