Go Green With the 2025 Ford Escape Hybrid or the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E

Interior Design and Amenities

Both SUVs comfortably seat five passengers. The Mach-E has about 30 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row compared to more than 34 cubic feet for the Escape Hybrid. However, the Mach-E adds 4.7 cubic feet in a standard front trunk. You’ll have around 60 cubic feet of space in the Mustang Mach-E and 61 cubic feet in the Escape Hybrid when you fold down the rear seats.

The EV comes with standard synthetic leather upholstery, while the base model of the hybrid features cloth and vinyl seating. Both SUVs include dual-zone automatic climate control, a push-button start, and proximity keyless entry across the lineup.

Power and Performance

The Mach-E is available with several different powertrains ranging from 262 to 480 horsepower, all with a single-speed automatic transmission. The Escape Hybrid has a single 192-hp configuration with a continuously variable automatic transmission. You can choose from rear-wheel or all-wheel drive in the Mustang Mach-E and front-wheel or available AWD in the Escape Hybrid.

The Escape Hybrid gets up to 42 city miles per gallon, while the Mustang Mach-E delivers the equivalent of up to 111 city mpg depending on the trim. You can travel 320 miles on battery power alone in the EV.

Infotainment Tech

The Escape Hybrid features dual 8-inch touchscreens, while the Mach-E shows off a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster and a 15.5-inch touchscreen. These SUVs include common standard tech such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker stereo with satellite radio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Both models earned a five-star overall crash test rating in 2025 from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Each comes with standard automatic high beams. The Escape Hybrid adds standard traffic sign recognition, which isn’t available in the Mustang Mach-E.

The EV replaces the standard rearview camera in the Escape with a standard surround-view camera. It also has standard BlueCruise for hands-free driving, which isn’t available in the Escape Hybrid.
