A Pair of Useful Warranties

The benefits of choosing a certified pre-owned Ford include a comprehensive limited warranty and a powertrain limited warranty. The comprehensive limited warranty is set in place after a rigorous 172-point inspection. It covers over a thousand components for a year or 12,000 miles. This coverage includes the front and rear-wheel drive systems, steering components, emissions components, transmission, brake system, engine, suspension system, electrical systems, safety components, and factory-installed audio systems. The powertrain limited warranty covers seven years or 100,000 miles.

Roadside Assistance

The possibility of a blowout, a collision, or other unforeseen misfortune is always there, no matter how many safeguards are set up. With Ford’s roadside assistance, you’ll have access to towing, fuel delivery, vehicle entry assistance, flat tire replacement, and vehicle jump-start services. Download the FordPass app through Google Play or Apple’s App Store to have easy access to roadside assistance 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Help will be a simple click away, and you’ll be back on the road in no time.

Certified Pre-Owned Blue and Gold Tiers

Two varieties of certified pre-owned certification are available through Ford: the blue tier and the gold tier. Any non-Lincoln vehicle can qualify as a blue tier certified pre-owned vehicle as long as it fills the age, mileage, and inspection requirements. Blue tier vehicles can be no more than a decade old with fewer than 120,000 odometer miles. As it passes through the initial 139-point inspection process, a prospective blue tier vehicle is repaired with care at a certified Ford facility. After the blue certification is completed, Ford issues the vehicle a 90-day or 4,000-mile limited warranty.

The gold tier certification requires that a vehicle be no more than six years old with fewer than 80,000 odometer miles. The initial inspection for this tier is the same 172-point version mentioned under the warranty section above. Once inspection for the gold tier is complete, Ford technicians will replace any damaged parts with factory parts.

FordPass Points and a Free Report

Along with FordPass access, going with a certified pre-owned Ford will grant you points on the related app. The blue level provides 11,000 points, and the gold level grants 22,000 points. FordPass Points, when redeemed, reduce the costs of qualified transactions at Ford dealerships. Points aren’t for accessories alone, for they can be used to reduce the price of a new vehicle. When you buy certified pre-owned, you’ll have access to a free CarFax report containing the vehicle’s history.
