Multiple trim levels are available for the 2024 Expedition MAX, and while every model comes with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, its output varies by trim. In XLT models, this engine generates 380 horsepower, while output is increased to 400 horsepower when opting for the King Ranch, Limited, or Platinum trims. While this is the standard output in all of these trims, there’s also a high-output version of this engine that’s available exclusively for Limited models, which delivers 440 horses.
Instead of having to remember to press a button when venturing off-road, this vehicle’s Intelligent 4WD system activates automatically as needed, as do the Active Grille Shutters on highways, which help improve performance and fuel efficiency on long drives.
