2023 Ford Mustang

The EcoBoost is the entry-level Mustang. It comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, dual exhaust, LED headlights, and LED sequential taillights. The Premium trim adds 18-inch wheels and heated side exterior mirrors, and the GT also has 18-inch wheels, along with upgraded brakes. The GT Premium adds 19-inch wheels with performance tires, a sport suspension, and Brembo brakes. The new Mach 1 has unique 19-inch wheels, performance tires, an active exhaust system, and Brembo brakes.

Ford offers several packages for the EcoBoost with features to increase performance such as the 2.2L High Performance package with upgraded brakes, 19-inch wheels, and an active exhaust.

The EcoBoost engine is a 2.3-liter turbo four-cylinder with 310 horsepower that works with a six-speed manual transmission. The GT models bump up the power with a 5.0-liter V-8 that puts out 460 horsepower, and the Mach 1 has this same V-8, but it generates 480 horsepower.

The standard EcoBoost engine is powerful and provides quick acceleration. Drivers who want a punchier driving experience will love the 5.0-liter V-8, and adding one of the performance packages can also bump up performance. The EcoBoost's performance package adds 20 horsepower and also comes with upgraded front springs and summer tires.

The standard configuration in the Mustang fits four people. Everyone has a comfortable seat, and the trunk, with its 13.5-cubic foot cargo area, has room for all their stuff. The EcoBoost cabin features a leather-wrapped steering wheel and cloth upholstery, while just a step up to the Premium adds dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, and simulated leather upholstery. The Mustang's options list includes carbon-fiber interior trim, ambient cabin lighting, and upgraded leather upholstery.

Technology features start with a 4.2-inch infotainment screen, voice controls, two USB ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth for phone and audio, and a six-speaker stereo. The SYNC 3 infotainment system comes in the Premium models, which also have an 8-inch touch screen display, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an upgraded 9-speaker stereo system. A 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo system is an available upgrade for most models, and you can also get satellite and HD radio.

Every Mustang comes standard with the Co-Pilot360 suite of driver aids. It includes forward-collision warning with mitigation, a blind-spot monitoring system that alerts the driver when a vehicle is in their blind spot, and rear cross-traffic alert. Lane-keep assist is also part of Co-Pilot360, and you also get automatic high beam headlights. Ford now offers the Safe and Smart package for the Mustang with adaptive cruise control and a navigation system, and the Premium models add rear parking sensors.
