The New Ford F-350

The Ford F-350 pickup truck fits drivers who need an extra powerful heavy-duty truck. It comes in three different cab styles, has two bed lengths, and you can choose between single and dual rear wheels. Changes for the F-350 include a new optional side step for the base XL trim up through the Platinum, the addition of manually adjustable tow mirrors for the XL with dual rear wheels, and Ford added some new exterior paint colors to the lineup. Trim Levels (Exterior)

The entry-level F-350 is the XL trim. It comes with 17-inch silver-painted wheels, black bumpers, manually adjustable side mirrors, and halogen headlights. The XLT adds 18-inch alloy wheels, a powered tailgate lock, power-adjustable side mirrors, and the BoxLink cargo system. If you step up to the Lariat trim, you'll get upgraded 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, and heated and power-adjustable exterior mirrors. For more luxury features, check out the King Ranch. This trim has LED lighting in the bed, a remote tailgate release, and memory settings for the exterior mirrors.

Bump up again to the Platinum for 20-inch wheels, LED fog lights, and quad-beam LED headlights, or to the Limited for a twin-panel moonroof and retractable bed steps.

Engine (Power)

The base engine for the F-350 is a 6.2-liter gas V-8. It puts out 385 horsepower and delivers 430 pound-feet of torque. A 7.3-liter gas V-8 with 430 horsepower is optional for any trim, and if you like a diesel engine, Ford offers a 6.7-liter V-8 turbodiesel with 475 horsepower and a huge 1,050 pound-feet of torque.

Performance

Whether you're looking for acceleration power or towing power, the F-350 has a configuration that works. The turbo diesel will go from zero to 60 in just 7.2 seconds, and with a gooseneck hitch, it can tow up to 37,000 pounds. With the V-8 gas engine and a regular hitch, the F-350 can tow up to 21,000 pounds, which is the best in its class.

Interior

The F-350 can fit up to six passengers, and everyone will have a comfortable seat. The entry-level XL has vinyl upholstery, with cloth added to the XLT and leather in the Lariat and above. The King Ranch trim adds a heated steering wheel and has heated and ventilated front seats, while the Platinum has multi-contour front seats and heated rear seats.

Step up from the base to the XLT for the SYNC 3 infotainment system, satellite radio, and navigation. This upgraded system also comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless charging, a 100-volt power outlet, and extra USB ports are all available, depending on the trim.

Safety Features

Every F-350 offers driver-assist safety features. Starting with the XLT trim, the Co-Pilot360 suite of advanced driver aids comes standard, with features such as forward collision warning, automatic braking, pedestrian detection, and lane-keep assist. A blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert also comes with this suite of safety systems, and it includes trailer coverage for safer driving while towing. Automatic high beam headlights are available, and you also get adaptive cruise control in the Platinum and Limited.
