If you want to tackle off-road trails or tow a boat or trailer, choose the intelligent four-wheel drive with the terrain management system featuring seven driving modes. The Explorer corners well on twisting roads and maneuvers easily in city traffic due to its fine-tuned suspension system, anti-roll and stability controls, and the trailer sway control helps to stabilize your trailer when towing. When properly equipped, your Explorer can haul up to 5,600 pounds.

You'll find plenty of modern technology in the Explorer. Ford's SYNC 4 infotainment system features a color 8-inch touch screen or on the upper trims, a 12-inch version.
