Get Soaked at These Top Water Parks This Summer

Waterpark

When summer rolls around, many people head to water parks for some relief from the heat. Are you ready to cool off and partake in some aquatic thrills at some of the top water parks for summer?

The three parks on this list are a great place to start. Check them out and plan your next summer outing with family and friends!

Carowinds | Facebook

WaterparkCarowinds is more than just a waterpark. It offers all sorts of amusements for those who want to get wet or stay dry—or both! The new Copperhead Strike is the Carolinas’ first double-launch coaster and is open for business this summer. You won’t want to miss it.

But what of the waterworks? The Carolina Harbor Waterpark is also one of Carowinds’ newest additions. From giant water slides to wild wave pools, you’ll find everything you need for a splashin’ good time! You can rent a private cabana, too, and grab some grub (all Carolina favorites!) at the Harbor House.

Kannapolis Recreation Park | Facebook

Kannapolis Recreation Park… it’s a time-honored place for family fun in the water. Take a dip in their full-size pool and get ready for some water slide action! There’s one slide for kids, and one for everyone. Two kiddie pools give the youngest guests a chance to splash in the water.

Time to dry off? Enjoy a round of mini golf under the sun or meet up for lunch at the picnic shelters. You can rest easy knowing Kannapolis Recreation Park runs a safe and disciplined operation—lifeguards are always on duty!

Wet ‘N Wild Emerald Pointe | Facebook

WaterparkAs one of the largest water parks in North Carolina, Wet ‘N Wild Emerald Pointe will leave you soaked and satisfied. With 36 water rides and more than 3 million gallons of water, get ready for some family-friendly fun! You’ll find great dining, drinks, and ice cream throughout the park when you need to stop and refuel.

Wind your way down the Lazee River in a comfy inner tube while the kids splash at Shipwreck Cove. Brave 84-foot wide tsunamis in the Thunder Bay wave pool—and see if you can handle the Daredevil Drop. Rides and slides (and much more!) await at Wet ‘N Wild.
