• Factory-installed trailer brake controller
• BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Trailer Coverage

These are all towing features that the Ford F-150 offers. Fortunately, the Chevy Silverado 1500 comes with a lot of similar ones, including Hitch Guidance. Unfortunately, although the Silverado also has available Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, this feature doesn’t include trailer coverage like the Ford’s BLIS^® does.

Ford F-150 vs Chevy Silverado 1500: Engine Power

Last, but certainly not least, we wanted to take a look at engine power. The F-150’s highest-powered engine is its High-Output 3.5L EcoBoost® engine, which is standard on the Raptor and Limited trims. This beast is capable of kicking out 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, numbers the Silverado 1500 can’t beat.

That’s because Chevrolet’s top horsepower-producing engine is its 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine with 420 horsepower, while a top torque-producing engine is its Duramax^® 3.0L Turbo-Diesel I-6 engine at 460 lb-ft of torque.

Ford’s selectable driving mode system is also more versatile than Chevy’s. It lets you choose between modes like Normal, Tow/Haul, Snow/Wet, Sport, and EcoSelect. Chevy’s driving mode system features six modes, but not EcoSelect.
