They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and you shouldn’t have to miss just because you sleep in late on the weekends. That’s why we love that the Salisbury area has so many amazing brunch places to check out.

Here are some of our favorites for you to try next time you’re catching a late breakfast or an early lunch.

If you subscribe to the idea that it’s always a good time for breakfast food, then you’re going to love Breakfastime. They have several locations around North Carolina, including Salisbury.

This is a great destination for spending a slow, leisurely morning with your family while enjoying some classic southern food. They have a variety of items on their menu including savory favorites like Eggs Benedict, omelets, and breakfast sandwiches.

Those of you with a sweet tooth will probably love their Banana Foster topping. This is made from bananas sautéed with butter, brown sugar, and flambé with cognac and sprinkled with powdered sugar and cinnamon. You can add this topping to their French toast, pancakes, or Belgian waffles.

They also serve lunch items like burgers, sandwiches, and salads.

As the newest member of the Morgan Ridge family, this brewery and eatery is already a staple of the downtown Salisbury restaurant community.

It was built by owners Tommy and Amie Baudoin who put their combined agricultural knowledge and winemaking and brewing experience to good use to create a place where people can get together and enjoy a good meal and a quality wine or craft beer.

They fix up brunch on Sundays and their menu features old favorites with new twists like the BELT (a BLT with egg on a Brioche Bun). They also serve waffles, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos, and the Brewers Breakfast—eggs, potatoes, sausage, tomato, and cheese served with home fries.

Be sure to wash it down with the Brown Sugared Bacon Beer Bloody Mary!

Palm’s Café

Palm’s Café features a cozy atmosphere where you can enjoy great food and even better company. This is a counter-serve restaurant with a slight European flair mixed with southern charm. They offer an eclectic menu including breakfast and lunch options as well as tasty treats like frappes and gelato.

If you get there earlier in the day, we recommend the Loaded Garden Omelet. This comes stuffed full of spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, and Pepper Jack cheese. For those of you who want to lunch, one of our favorite dishes is the Black Bean Burger. This comes served with onions, lettuce, and tomatoes.

Don’t forget to try one of their gelato shakes. The Palms Java shake is one of our favorites and includes shots of espresso, java chocolate chips, and vanilla gelato.
