Engine Specs

2019 Ford F-350 Towing Capacity There are three different 2019 Ford Super Duty models: Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450. They each offer the same engine lineup, but there are some key differences.

The standard engine in the Ford F-250 and F-350 is a 6.2L V8. It’s a potent picture of power with an output of up to 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. This same engine is also available in the F-450, but that model comes standard with an even more robust powerplant.

The F-450 runs standardly on the 6.7L Power Stroke® turbodiesel V8 engine. It offers a monstrous output of up to 450 horsepower and an incredible 935 lb-ft of torque. This engine is also available in the F-250 and F-350, if you want to upgrade for extra power.

Capabilities: Towing & Payload

Three different models, three different figures: That’s how it works when exploring towing and payload capabilities for the Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, and F-450. Your choice between the three may very well depend on how much weight you need to tow or haul. Let’s look at the specs in detail:

F-250

F-350

F-450

Max Payload (lbs)

4,270

7,640

6,190

Max Conventional Towing (lbs)

18,000

21,000

21,000

Max 5th-Wheel/Gooseneck Towing (lbs)

18,500

32,000

35,000

As you can see, the F-350 offers the best payload potential. When equipped with dual rear wheels (DRW) and rear-wheel drive (RWD), it can haul 7,640 pounds of your heaviest work materials.

When it comes to conventional towing, the Ford F-350 and F-450 see the best figures with the capacity to tow up to 21,000 pounds in a variety of configurations. With that kind of pulling power, you’ll have no problem moving even the heaviest equipment on steep mountain roads throughout North Carolina.

Features for Safety & Productivity

Ford Super Duty LED Box Lighting The Ford Super Duty prioritizes productivity and your safety above all else. To that end, it offers a range of standard and available features to make your daily drive more convenient in every way.

With up to seven available cameras, you can sneak a peek at all four sides of the truck and see where the trailer is headed as you back up. There’s even a camera that lets you see the pickup bed, which might be helpful if you’re hooking up to a 5th-wheel or gooseneck hitch.

The Ford BoxLink™ system makes it easier to attach and tie down cargo, with the structurally reinforced box sides playing a major role. Plus, LED box lighting lets you work out of the pickup bed (and load/unload) after the sun sets.
